Title

Well, I figured I'd update before I forget this whole thing exists once more.
Sunday I went to see JM play with his band and they were good as always. I got a few people to come as well. The other bands weren't anything special. One was a cover band. The guitarist seemed to have pretty decent skills at reproducing songs and such. As for the band that played afterwards. I knew a few of them through high school. I spoke to them a few times etc. I recognized their friends in the crowd. Most of them I knew through high school as well. After those bands finished playing CoaHS went on stage and the room was empty. I, however noticed that one guy in the crowd was attempting to heckle or something to that affect. I recognized him too, I even recall his last name. Boudreault. Obviously he was just barely audibly yelling out a few words to mock my friends. Ignorant statements like calling them "emocore" which CoaHS is far from. Another statement was that when my friend was just saying the song titles between songs he "check le bin entrain de réciter des poêmes". I do admit that JM's band did have quite the contrast to the two previous bands, both in the style, technicalities and general crowd it pulled in. Anyways, I didn't let it ruin my evening. I also got Sarah to come along, and she seemed to have enjoyed it once again.

When you're a kid and you want to Wii...

Sunday morning, still disappointed my part time job made me go in, I got up and drove over to the EBGames I had gotten my preorder at. After waiting in line for about an hour they informed the crowd that they had sold all the non-preorder units. The crowd thinned out and just a few of us were left. Some people ended up camping the evening before. I imagine most of those got what they wanted. I ended up talking to this guy who had bought a PS3 and he was discussing about what he’s enjoyed about the console so far. Apparently some people were jumping stores (mind you this is still around 9:20am) and most of them had run out. After aquiring my huge bag of Wii stuff I got home, unpacked and plugged it in, created a Mii with my nephew and had to leave to work. 7 aggravating hours later I went back home and tried this out for the first time. Played Wii sports most of the night. I glanced at Zelda and Red Steel but I’m keeping those for sometime this week.

The whole wireless thing is odd, but I enjoy it. I setup the Wii on my network and got DK off the Wii Store. I still can’t find Opera though.

Other than that, friday night James Bond (amazing), saturday day off, anime con... decent.

Hooked on Bun

I loves mah Bun.

Nothing much to say, updating for the sake of new content.
Movies have been great this summer. Tomorow, Pirates... Scanner Darkly and a music fest is opening up. It's so wonderful, I've got no cash. I'm unemployed and I would love to see every single one of these things but I just can't. Bummer.

I can't wait to get a job.

ooooo afternoon delight

Damn that stupid song.

Well, I think Silent hill in the cinema might be out of the question now.
There's alot of other movies comming out next week. Not that I'll have much time to see anything... Well maybe. This week is my most stressful week. I have to present and complete something in French, while doing something in my programming class as well. Plus I have to work a tad on my much neglected Calculus. Hurray! And something else I'm forgetting at this instant. Oh, yeah! Sending my C.V. places for some mind numbing full time work. Hopefully with a pay good enough for me to get going. Wouldn't it be fantastic to have a place of my own by fall...

So yeah, I tried the Gatineau Schewzan (however it's spelled) place. Most everything is similar. I liked the noodles and the lemon chicken and the mushu chicken. But something jumped out. NO SPICY GINGER CHICKEN. The best of the best almost. Oh yeah and their Hunan dumplings aren't the least bit spicy or delicious. There's a decent amount of room inside and a nice parking spot for clients. Something the Caveau cannot get. I'll probably go again one lazy evening.

Note to self: google Dim Sum

I've been invited for dim sum ... some day and I have no clue what I'm getting myself into.

Also, the oldschool keyboard layout I've been trying to find lately is : English (Canada) French (Canada)

I've updated neutspace after two years as you can see in Dan's reaction in my last post. Oh yeah and I've grown a tad fonder of 10 000 years... just a tad.

Pure Life

Title? It's what's written on that bottle next to me. I'm a water bottle junkie. Don't really know why, guess it's to keep me from drinking Pepsi too damned much.

So yeah, listening to tool... waiting to see Silent Hill.. people are giving me all sorts of opinions on this movie. Does it matter? No. In the end my opinion will be the only thing that matters. I WILL see this movie and I will enjoy it even if it turns out to be something completely ridiculous. How can I enjoy something ridiculous? Because it reminds me of the video game I enjoy so much. ... fuck!

I must post applications for High Tech jobs. My sister sent me three people looking for employees. CSIS scares me. I won't bother with them but I'll send my CV to the two others.

This week I try the Gatineau Caveau with a friend of mine and later this week I go to the other one to celebrate JM's birthday. I think we're going on the 28th.

Countdowns are great

Recently all I've been able to think about is number of days until.
1 day until a final exam in statistics. Am I ready? Partially.
7 days until the new FF expansion. New content. Thrilling.
8 days to partially finish a french homework I should have been working on for 10 weeks now.
10 days until Silent Hill the Movie. Getting shivers thinking about it.
14 days until I go to the new caveau with a friend visiting his old man.
5 weeks left until I finish this semester.

I'm looking forward to alot of this... exclusively the recreative. I hate myself for being such a slacker. I'm growing tired of this same old school. With the same old things. I just hope I pass it all this time to get it over with for good. I'd love to get on with my life. I probably won't be continuing school though. I'll get a full time job and live off it for a few months while I get shit together. And then, hopefully have a renewed interest in university and such.

I'll find something more interesting to post in a week.

DEFENESTRATE!

Last night I had an awesome time at JM's show. (The guy that's on my link section) I enjoyed the two new songs that he played in the middle. They arrived late, him and Max. So the bill was changed a bit. These guys from California had to play before them. There was alot of screamo metal that evening. I had brought a friend that didn't know what she was in for. She liked Willem Dafoe a bit. Thought they were funny. Being a first timer at one of City of a Hundred Spires (even TPD) she enjoyed watching one of her friends playing. I do as well. I try and see every show that JM plays. Always entertaining... I wanted to scream play nuremberg... but I kept quiet.
